Edit Tools

NOTE: If you use a Custom Tool and you do not want AeroScript or AeroBasic code to execute during a phase, make sure that the applicable tool setting is blank.

  1. To open the Catalog Manager, select the Catalog tab. Then click the Catalog Manager button . The Catalog Manager dialog box comes into view.
  2. In the Catalogs pane, select the tool that you want to edit. You can edit and save changes to tools in these locations.
  3. Click the Edit button .
  4. In the Catalog Item pane, edit the properties of the tool that you selected. If it is necessary to cancel your changes, click the Discard button .
  5. To apply the changes to the tool, click the Done button . The Catalogs pane shows an asterisk adjacent to this tool to identify changes that you must save to the tool catalog file.
  6. Optional. If you want to undo the changes to a tool, refer to the steps that follow.
    1. In the Catalogs pane, select an edited item for which you want to undo the changes.
    2. In the Modify section of the Catalog tab, click the Undo Changes button . The Catalog Manager restores the properties of the item to the previous changes that you applied.
  7. Click Apply to save your changes to the Tool Catalog.
  8. NOTE: If you edited a tool that is in the open project and in your tool catalog, the Catalog Manager saves your changes to this tool in both locations.
